Trial Match 2 - Establishment of a cross-border network between France and Switzerland for the inclusion of patients in clinical or therapeutic trials.

Coexya launches international platform for clinical trials in oncology

Coexya has teamed up with the Léon Bérard Centre (Lyon, France) and Geneva University Hospitals (Geneva, Switzerland) to launch a project aimed at setting up an international platform for building patient cohorts for clinical trials in oncology. The goal is to open up new avenues for treatment.

Patient selection based on inclusion criteria will be supplemented by a Trial Matching module to identify the clinical trials in which each patient could participate.

The work carried out with CLCCs over the past 10 years to aggregate and structure patient data in oncology has resulted in the creation of a benchmark tool in France.

The Trial Match 2 project is an opportunity to extend its use internationally and to complement the inclusion approach by identifying potential clinical trials for patients.

This project is based on the Consore software developed by Coexya in partnership with the Unicancer Federation and Cancer Centres in France, which has been adapted to take into account the specific characteristics of the healthcare system in the canton of Geneva, and then deployed at the HUG.

Consore will enable the selection of patients monitored in partner institutions for inclusion in clinical or therapeutic trials.

Coexya will interface Consore with the chosen trial matching tool to assess which trials a patient could be included in by automatically comparing trial inclusion criteria with the patient’s clinical data.

As part of this project, Coexya will integrate a new data source into Consore, supplementing the clinical data already present with radiotherapy data.
