OAM 3.0
Development of the project to modernise the Mining Activity Observatory (OAM)
At the end of 2023, Coexya was selected by the Task Force for Combating Illegal Gold Mining and Fishing (EMOPI) for the project to provide project management assistance for the modernisation of the OAM.
This OAM modernisation project aims to develop new services based on an enhanced IT infrastructure. These services will seek to strengthen the work of personnel in the field, but also to provide the public with open and reliable information on the state of gold mining and the situation of the mine in French Guiana.
The OAM modernisation project has been approved for eligibility for the Public Action Transformation Fund by the Interministerial Directorate for Public Transformation (DITP), through its investment committee.
The expected deliverable is a needs assessment study aimed at identifying and defining the scope of the OAM 3.0 modernisation project. The AMO mission proposes guidelines that will then be studied in detail via technical specifications by the MOE.
The service covers the areas of information system consulting, studies and analyses, with a particular focus on GIS infrastructure and architecture with an artificial intelligence component that will automate a large part of the processing, particularly in the field of satellite imagery, a technology particularly suited to the Guiana rainforest and the detection of illegal gold mining.
Coexya is proud to be participating in the first phase of the project to modernise the Mining Activity Observatory: the definition study for this major project to overhaul the fight against illegal mining.
