Geomod joins the Coexya group
Lyon, 30 November 2021
Geomod – a software developer and provider of land and marine geomatics and hydraulic modelling solutions – has joined the Coexya group, an independent company and a leader in the IT/digital and software industries. The transaction will be a strategic merger between the two companies, that aim to increase their influence in the geomatics sector.
The merger will enable the Coexya group to strengthen our position in the Geographic Information System (GIS) market and help us to grow in France and around the world.
Having changed our name from Sword France to Coexya in September 2021, we are pursuing the growth strategy that we launched a year ago. This initial acquisition is a significant first step.
Founded in 1995, Geomod is a renowned software developer in the geomatics field. The company works with clients in France and around the world, providing innovative solutions in three key areas:
- Land geomatics, particularly urban noise mapping and electromagnetic radiation mapping.
- Marine geomatics, particularly providing services and developing software for port services and helmsmen, as well as producing marine maps and standardised bathymetric charts.
- Water management, particularly distributing and integrating mapping solutions.
