Personal data: how to anticipate risks?
Personal data: how to anticipate risks?
Since 2018 and the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, personal data has gained value and must therefore be protected. It has become a crucial commercial and strategic issue for the organisations responsible for it.
90% of consumers would not purchase a product online or from an organisation that does not demonstrate a clear commitment to protecting their data.
While systems and technologies exist to ensure security — secure databases, access-controlled software, etc. — the challenge also lies in the evolving ways data circulates. It is no longer accessed solely from a workstation protected by corporate security measures: it now flows through phones, personal computers, and connected devices. This widespread usage increases the risk of attacks or data leaks. Organisations must be able to monitor how data circulates, who can access it, and how it is stored and protected.
