Geomod by Coexya innovates by deploying GeoCommunity, a collaborative platform dedicated to modelers

River and urban development within the scope of GEMAPI, water stress management for water supply, flood prevention, population alert, network maintenance..., hydraulic modelling is becoming an essential tool for local authorities, engineering offices, and more globally for managers of the small and large water cycle.
In order to progress together in the face of these new challenges, Geomod, historical distributor in France of efficient software solutions for water management, launches GeoCommunity: a collaborative platform for modelers.

Sharing expertise and experience feedback

The hydraulic modeling is a great tool to visualize, optimize, test its urban or river infrastructures with landscaping scenarios, or past or present events.

However, it is a complex subject, and the modeller is often alone in front of his screen and his model, and does not always have the opportunity to explore all the functionalities of the software at his disposal. If he is lucky, he can benefit from the experience of his colleagues. But how many people are we talking about? Three people? Four? Yet there are hundreds of modelers in France, some working on general subjects, others on more specific subjects. Why not benefit from their experience?

Convinced of the importance of sharing experiences and acquired skills in order to adapt and evolve modeling practices, Geomod by Coexya’s hydraulic engineers innovate by deploying GeoCommunity, a collaborative platform dedicated to modelersPartager les expertises et le retour d’expérience

GeoCommunity offers a common space accessible online to exchange information in topical forums, keep up to date through a blog and a news feed, share projects, achievements and successes, publish and access modeling tenders and job offers, and mobilize expertise and know-how on topics of interest.

Building living hydraulic models adapted to territorial issues

Geomod by Coexya is the historical distributor in France of software solutions dedicated to water management developed by the international editor Innovyze – today owned by Autodesk – Geomod by Coexya aims, with GeoCommunity, to position itself as a facilitator to help local authorities and water managers, whatever their organization and the level of integration and mapping of their data, to build and manage living and evolving hydraulic models, adapted to the needs of their territories.

Originally designed to provide its clients with an online service for instant assistance, technical support and information sharing on its software solutions, including InfoWorks ICM, a complete wastewater/stormwater/river modeling tool, InfoWorks WS Pro for drinking water networks, and InfoDrainage, a stormwater drainage design and sizing tool that integrates alternative techniques – the GeoCommunity platform now provides all French hydraulic modelers with a true collaborative business support tool to save time, reduce costs, and develop their business.
